An unidentified teen remains in critical condition after he was shot on Friday by four thugs who wanted his green bicycle, police say.

The teen was riding his bicycle in front of 86-07 Rockaway Beach Boule – vard in the Dayton Plaza Shopping Center, when he was approached by the four teens, who demanded his bicycle.

Police say that he was slow to surrender his trans portation and that one of the four shot him two times in the chest.

A search of the area by responding police turned up four men, who allegedly had the bike in their possession. The four were arrested at the scene.

They are identified by police sources as Leroy Barnett, 21; Sharem Edwards, 19; Derrell Daniels, 19; and Malik Miller, 20. All of the men are Rockaway residents.

They are presently awaiting arraignment in Queens Criminal Court and are expected to be charged with attempted murder and robbery.

The unidentified victim was transported to the trauma center at Jamaica Hospital, where he is reportedly in critical condition from his wounds.

Detectives from the 100 Precinct Squad are investigating. Anyone with information or who witnessed the shooting is urged to call the squad at 718-318-4226.
