The campaign of Paul King for Congress (NY CD5) is pleased to announce the launch of its Spanish language website (https://paulkingforcongress.com/es).  Mr. King is the Republican and Conservative candidate challenging 24-year incumbent Gregory Meeks this November.

“I am happy to have this site up and running. Hispanic families from many lands and countries (Puerto Rico, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Central and South America) are a vital part of life in Rockaway and southern Queens,” said Mr. King. “It is important to be able to communicate ideas and brainstorm solutions together.”  The theme of Mr. King’s campaign is “El Sueño Americano para Todos los Americanos.”  If Congress is to craft policies that support El Sueño Americano (The American Dream) then we must hear directly from people in the Hispanic communities about their goals and challenges.

According to Redistricting and You, approximately 20% of the people in congressional district 5 are of Hispanic heritage. For many immigrants and first-generation Americans, English is a second language.

“At JHS 180 and Beach Channel High School, I had many Puerto Rican classmates and, later on, Puerto Rican family members. The Spanish-speaking communities in Queens have become more diverse over the years.  They remain an important part of our City’s gorgeous mosaic, as Mayor Dinkins used to call it,” said King.

Paul King is running against incumbent Gregory Meeks in New York’s 5th Congressional District, which covers southern Queens, including Broad Channel, Howard Beach and the entire Rockaway peninsula. His platform is “The American Dream for Every American.” Prior to running for Congress, King was managing partner for a consulting firm that helps private companies and government agencies solve systemic problems.
