InkSplash, RAA’s annual invitational printmaking exhibition opens to the public on Saturday, Oct. 22 at noon.
The weekly exhibition is presented by the Rockaway Artists Alliance in Gallery T7 at Fort Tilden, Gateway National Recreation Area, will have its official opening reception on Sunday, Oct. 23, 12-4 p.m.
In InkSplash 2016, RAA will be exhibiting prints by the many local artists who have attended our Open Studios and workshops as well as the many printmakers who have contributed to our ongoing print community at RAA Press.
Our artists this year include master printmakers, innovators and artists discovering the fine art of printmaking.
InkSplash 2016 will feature a wide variety of original printed works: intaglio, mono print, relief, solarplate etching, photo transfers and experimental techniques celebrating printmaking in a changing world.
The exhibit will feature the work of Carolyn Antonucci-Almeida, Victoria Barber, Faith Edeson, Carmen Frank, Willa Mae Gilbert, Esther Grillo, John Grillo, Elizabeth Harington, Neddi Heller, Christian Le Gars, Luanda Lorenzo, Jason Novetsky, Patricia O’Meara, Brendan Patrick, Renee Radenberg, Deena des Rioux, Susan Rostow, Melissa Rubin, Onnie Strother, Wendy Stefanelli, Dan Welden, Jenny Zeller and more.
