Ernest Lamison, a butcher, died on April 4th at age 88.
A Rockaway resident for more than 60 years, Lamison served in the US Navy during WWII and he was a member of the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Amos and Martha Lamison; his loving and devoted wife of 59 years, Rose; siblings, Alfred, Ethyl, George, Earl, Willie, Nathaniel and Edward; children, Deborah, Irving, Leroy and Larry.
He is survived by his children, Phyllis Lamison-Johnson (Roy) and Jeffery Lamison; grandchildren, Debra Ingram, Starasia Lamison, Lichole Cameron, Jasmine, Kiara, Jeffery, Jayquan and Jahvaun Lamison and Laniyah Johnson; spiritual grandchildren, Keshon Robertson and Shericka Guy; great-grandchildren, Briyana and Anita Ingram, Danasia Lamison, Emanuel Ingram, Malik Gray, Tamia Tolliver and Romello Lamison; special caregiver, Aisha Riddick and the Williams family; spiritual son and daughter, Rev. Larry L. Shell, Sr. and First Last Mamie Shell and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Jeremiah C. Gaffney’s Funeral Home in Inwood, NY.
