Consumer Affairs (DCA) Commiss-ioner Gretchen Dykstra, joined by representatives from Queens Boro-ugh President Helen Marshall’s off-ice, has opened an enforcement office at Queens Borough Hall. The newly created office is part of an effort to streamline DCA’s enforcement operations, allowing staff to work closely with Community Boa-rds and other City agencies to coordinate efforts and respond to complaints quickly. DCA’s enforcement team in Queens will now include a Borough Director and ten inspectors. The Queens office also remains home to DCA’s Home Improvement Con-tractor (HIC) Unit, a team of inspectors who investigate HIC related complaints and unlicensed contractors citywide. To file a complaint, call DCA at (212) 487-4444 or online at www.nyc.gov/consumers.
