100 Precinct Names Cops Of The Month

Police Officer Ariana Esteban of the 100 Precinct received the Cop of the Month award for September at the monthly 100 Precinct Community Council meeting. On Sept. 5, Esteban and Sgt. George Schwille stopped two males in possession of a high-powered hand-gun. They pursued the males and captured both of them. Schwille was also awarded Cop of the Month for the same arrest, however, he was not present at the meeting. Retired Detective Dominic Andreno received an award for years of service at the monthly 100 Precinct Community Council meeting at Knights of Columbus Hall in Rockaway Beach on Wednesday. He served 28 years in the force and made over 100 arrests. He solved a number of homicides but usually dealt with property crimes including money.
