On Saturday, December 19, at about 5 p.m. units of the Broad Channel Volunteer Fire Department responded to a two car accident at West 6 Road and Cross Bay Boulevard in Broad Channel. The accident, an official of the volies said, was caused by the poor and the slippery condition of the roadway caused by driving snow. Two children were removed from the rear seat of one of the vehicles and emergency medical technicians from the BCVFD evaluated and released all of those in both cars.
