A large civilian airliner did not crash on Beach 106 Street early last Tuesday morning, but the New York City Police Department practiced for such an eventuality (all too real after the crash of American Airlines Flight 587 nearly seven years ago), by bringing hundreds of cops and dozens of high-ranking officers to Beach 106 Street - the "crash site." Pictured, officers from all over Queens muster in the parking lot at Beach 94 Street prior to taking up posts around the crash site. 054p1_xlg.jpg
