Every Wednesday morning, at 7 a.m. sharp, The Belle Harbor School, P.S. 114, Scrabble competition re-ignites!  Invented in 1948, Scrabble has the dual worlds of etymology and lexicology conjointly cooperate in the P.S. 114Q student lunchroom.  Scrabble Instructor Ron Gerson serves as the “dictionary,” in the event of a challenge to the construction, or acceptance of, a disputed word.  The P.S. 114Q Scrabble Team has been accepted into the 2005 NEWSDAY metropolitan area “Scrabble Challenge Competition,” come Spring 2005. 089p2_xlg.jpg
