Far Rockaway resident Armando Colon was honored at the Volunteer Achievement Award Ceremony hosted by the United Hospital Fund at the Waldorf-Astoria’s Grand Ballroom on Monday, March 29, 2004. Known as “AC,” Mr. Colon has volunteered at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital, South Shore, for three years. In 2003, he dedicated 1,538 hours to his post at St. John’s, where he operates the elevator designated for inpatient transportation. Pictured above are (from left to right): F.
