Mayor Michael Bloomberg made a campaign stop in Rockaway on Thursday morning to speak with more than 200 senior citizens and to tell them why he should be reelected as mayor. “As older New Yorkers you have given a lifetime of service to your community,” the mayor said. “You deserve the services and support that will help you to live health, happy and productive lives.” Questions raised from the floor included transportation, health care and the Rockaway building boom.
