The Wounded Warriors are once again on their way to Rockaway for a weekend of parades, watersports and fundraisers. The annual event, sponsored by the Graybeards, will kick off with a parade east on Rockaway Beach Boulevard from Breezy Point to Beach 126 Street at about 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 9. The adaptive watersports festival will kick off on Saturday, July 10 at Breezy Point, a festival that enables permanently injured marines and soldiers to participate in water skiing, fishing and scuba diving. On Sunday, July 11, all of the 55 participants and their host families will be present at 7 p.m. for a fundraiser for the Special Olympics program at the home of Rita and Flip Mullen on the beach block of Beach 134 Street.
