The students of the Scholars' Academy economics team were victorious as the regional winners of the Econ Bowl. The Econ Bowl is an annual contest sponsored by the Federal Reserve Bank. This year's research focused on whether trade between countries does more harm than good for the people of those countries. The students conducted extensive research and created PowerPoint presentations that supported their views and ideas. This year's team consisted of: Xander McDonald Smith, Taylor Conroy, Lindsey Calder, Thomas Gersh, Michael Tannenbaum, Kwado Twumasi, Fallon Mullen, Jillian Carmody, Peter Cashin, John Evans, Mathew Greenberg, Nialah Hope, Lawrence Johnson, Rebecca Moers, Kiera Harris, Kiara Hawkins, Robert Henschel, Stephen Kelly and Steven Peitham. The team has now moved on to the next round of competition, to take place shortly.
