It was a bittersweet day at the MoMA PS1 VW2 Dome on Beach 94th Street on Sunday, June 30th. The much loved Dome was soon to be dismantled but friends and neighbors came together for one last day to enjoy music, art, and the good company. Klaus Biesenbach, curator of MoMA and a Rockaway resident, who was the driving force in getting the Dome to rise in Rockaway, was presented with a certificate of appreciation by more a dozen people who represented various Rockaway groups who were thankful for the Dome.
