This ground level seal was the center of attraction for many children past and present at the Beach 106/107 Street beachfront playground. Children of all ages loved to hug, sit on it, jump over, and had their pictures taken with the sculpted seal (smooth as the skin of a seal). But along came Sandy and uprooted the seal. It remained intact and was picked up by the Parks Department to be placed in another playground. 17p1.jpg
