Deborah Blakla, 47, of Lake Grove, Long Island, was driving her 2004 Jeep southbound on Cross Bay Boulevard near West 5 Road on Sunday, March 18, when the snow and ice on the road caused her to lose control, police say. The Jeep Grand Cherokee flipped over several times, according to officials of the Broad Channel Volunteer Fire Department, who were first on the scene. When the volies arrived, Blakla was reportedly outside the car and walking around the crash site. The Jeep wound up on its side in the northbound lane of the six-lane road. Blakla was transported to Jamaica Hospital Center by EMS, where she was reportedly treated and released. 002p1_xlg.jpg
