A crane lifted the superconducting magnet off a flatbed truck and through an opening in the roof of St. John’s Episcopal Hospital’s Ambulatory Care Center. The new MRI at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital has a greater feeling of openness for the patient and reduced acoustic noise, both elements helpful to the claustrophobic patient. In addition it offers the option of MRI of the breasts, indicated in certain breast pathology as a follow-up to mammography 44p2.jpg
