Bishop Kearney High School awarded academic scholarships to members of the Class of 2016 at a brunch held at the school to honor them and their parents. Belle Harbor residents Cecilia Hanson (Scholars’ Academy) and Johanna Sullivan (St. Francis de Sales) were among those who earned full and partial scholarships totaling over $56,000 per school year, based on their performance on the TACHS Examination, their school records and a personal interview with a member of the Kearney faculty. Sullivan, on the left, and Hanson, on the right, are pictured with Kearney’s principal, Sister Thomas Stagnitta, CSJ, during the event. 19p1.jpg
