Thanksgiving is a time to share family stories and traditions. It is also a time to create new memories to add to your family history. Students at St. Francis de Sales School, while studying the history of Thanksgiving and Native Americans, created their very own totem poles. Totem poles were mostly used to depict a story or tell of special events. Children in various grades created their own totem poles to tell their story and reflect on what it is they were thankful for. Whether it was the kindergarten child drawing a picture of his very first friend or the fifth-grader depicting the winning of a championship game, the students all had a special story to tell 57p1.jpg
