The on Beach 116 Street was standing room only on Saturday morning as family members and friends of those who died when American Airlines Flight 587 crashed into Belle Harbor on November 12, 2001 gathered for the tenth anniversary of the tragic crash. It came on a cloudy, chilled day that was eerily reminiscent of the day the plane crashed. Family members and friends placed flowers and written notes into the spaces on the memorial wall, this one left in memory of First Officer Sten Molin, who was flying the departure from JFK Airport that morning.
