To close another year of amazing volunteer work, food and clothing was delivered to a local pantry, and trees at Michelis-Basewater Park received love and care. Students around the school participated in a food and clothing drive organized by Mr. Krieger, and the items collected were donated to Loving Care Center Food Pantry. On June 25, club members participated in a tree care activity under the direction of Marlen Waaijer, from RWA. Students learned how to take care of trees, and how to weed. They also learned how to mark a circle around the trees using a basic handmade tool with two branches and a string. Kids pulled weeds from the circle under the trees and then put mulch under the tree. The trees would be protected from the grass mowing equipment and the appearance of the area would be improved. Mr. Krieger, social studies teacher, and Ms. Allende, art teacher want to thank parent volunteer Ms. Camacho, for supporting the 105 Kids Care activities, and all PS/MS 105 students who donated their time and energy to do things for the community. 38p1.jpg
