Students in grades 1, 2, and 3 competed in the annual school math bee on March 8. Twelve of the school’s top math students competed against each other to see who would represent St. Francis at the Diocesan math bee next month. The competition was intense with students only having 10 seconds to compute mathematical problems mentally. The twelve students competing had already won the math bee in their own classrooms. All of the contestants did an excellent job. Third-grader Ian Byrne was the winner.
