Far Rockaway students are about to receive all kinds of school supplies, thanks to a generous donation from Capital One Bank. As part of an ongoing effort to give back to the community, the Jamaica bank branch gave 52 boxes with thousands of brand new items to Safe Space, an agency that serves at-risk youth in Southeast Queens. The bequest includes everything from notebooks and pens to construction paper and index cards, and the items will go to youth at P.S. 104 and P.S. 215 in Far Rockaway and P.S. 30 in Rochdale. An overwhelmed Atanda-Ogunleye said: “This is wonderful.” Photo by Rob MacKay. 027p1.jpg
