A fire broke out last Friday afternoon at 419 Beach 72 Street that required twelve units and 60 firefighters to get under control. The call came into the 911 system at 3:46 p.m. for the private house. Flames were severe enough to force the firefighters to extinguish the fire from the outside, according to fire officials. One firefighter was treated for minor burns and no civilians were injured. FDNY says the fire was under control by 5:11 p.m. (Top and inset photos by Joe Mele). 016p1.jpg
