An all-hands fire brought 12 fire companies and 60 firefighters to Beach 70 Street on Saturday afternoon. The fire, in a three-story brick home at 307 Beach 70 Street, started at about 4:29 p.m. on the third floor, fire officials told The Wave. It quickly became an all-hands fire about four minutes later, drawing fire units from other parts of the peninsula. The fire was declared under control at 5:16 p.m. Fire officials say that there were no injuries as a result of the smoky blaze. The origin of the fire is still under investigation.
