A group of 110 children from the community between the ages of 5 and 16 were instructed by a soccer coaching staff of international New York Red Bulls trainers from England, Jamaica, Scotland, and Uruguay. The young children learned the basics of the sport, while the older children honed their dribbling, passing, marking, and communication skills. The children were treated with a guest visit by New York Red Bulls soccer players Austin Da Luz (American) and Andrew Boyens of New Zealand, who recently returned from World Cup play for his home country. The children had the opportunity to ask questions from these two stars, received autographs, as well as having their photos taken with them. On the last day, the children sadly said goodbye to their trainers and are looking forward to seeing them next summer.
