Kimberly Ann Oliphant

Karate Instructor

Kimberly Ann Oliphant, a karate instructor, died on June 19 at age 31.

A lifelong Far Rockaway resident, Oliphant was a member of the T. F. Mason Ensemble, the Junior Usher Board, the L. S. Voices of Praise and The Exalted Voices Praise and Worship Team and was a choir director and musician for New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Beach Channel Choir, Jonathan Mack and the City of Oasis Church of Deliverance.

Oliphant is preceded in death by her grandmother, Rosie Lee Chandler and her father, Robert Oliphant. She is survived by her mother, Shirley Ann Oliphant; brother, Robert Oliphant; nieces, Ashante, Khadijah and Fatima Esther Rose; nephew Richard; uncle, M.C. Chandler; aunts, Carol Chandler, Debra Chandler and Dora Oliphant; special cousin, Malinda Chandler; cousins, Kareem, Elton, Jap, M.C., Allison, Tanisha, Latifa and Xsavian; spiritual parents, Reverend Anthony and Elder Mary Nisbett; special friends, William, Ms. Debbie, Ayeasha Rahman, Elder Jonathan Mack and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Jeremiah C. Gaffney’s Funeral Home in Inwood.
