Swim Strong Free Event

The Swim Strong Foundation and its partners are presenting their 2nd Annual Water Safety Awareness Event. The free day will take place on Sunday, May 18, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Far Rockaway High School at 821 Beach 25th Street in Far Rockaway.

There will also be activities at the Brooklyn Sports Club at 1540 Van Siclen Avenue in Brooklyn from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.

At both sites the day will include community swim lessons, water safety workshops, CPR training, health and nutrition workshops and more.

Swim Strong noted in a press release about the event that, “Everyone in New York City should be water safe and learn to swim. These are lifesaving and life changing skills that are one of the healthiest exercises you can do for all ages. Isn’t it time you got your swim on??”
