34th Annual Buckley’s-Kennedy’s 5K Charity Run
The 34th Annual Buckley’s-Kennedy’s 5K Charity Run and Family Fun Day Picnic will take place on Sunday, May 18. The run starts, rain or shine, at 10 a.m. The Family Fun Day Picnic will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The run is dedicated in loving memory of Elizabeth “Joan” Higgins and Tommy Farrell.
The registration fee for adult runners, 19 and older, is $20 in advance and $25 on the day of the run. The fee for children 18 and younger is $10.
On race day registration and the start line will be in front of the Army Reserve Center, located on Rockaway Point Boulevard in Breezy Point.
The finish line will be at Breezy Point Ball Field, where the Family Fun Day Picnic will also be held.
The Family Fun Day Picnic is open to the general public and is free for all registered race participants.
The picnic will feature live entertainment by Head Over Heels and DJ Suds, as well as food, beverages and games.

Now celebrating its centennial anniversary, HeartShare is a human services agency, which provides vital services for children and adults diagnosed with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders, and for children and families needing foster care and adoption services, family counseling, HIV/AIDS services, and after-school programs.
