Giardina Shares His Art
Giardina, a resident artist at Greenpoint Gallery in Brooklyn, will be speaking as a special guest of the Rockaway Artists Alliance at their T-7 Gallery in Fort Tilden.
Having started exhibiting with a diverse group of artists based out of Tribeca in Manhattan, he also recently moved with his musician wife, Carly, to Rockaway from Brooklyn. Giardina teaches high school visual arts at Humanities and the Arts High School in Cambria Heights. In addition to painting and mentoring young artists, he has written several short stories and recently finished a novel which is in the process of being published. “We (Carly and I),” Giardina says, “are very excited to be a part of the Rockaway Artists Alliance and looking forward to working with an amazing group of artistic and creative people.” Giardina’s presentation is part of RAA’s monthly general meeting. Artists are encouraged to bring artwork to share.
RAA meets on the second Monday of every month at Fort Tilden at 7:30 p.m. Their current exhibitions, “Black & White” and “Chroma” are on view in the T-7 Gallery.
