An Irish Afternoon At RAA


Annmarie Acosta at the keyboard at RAA’s “Irish Show.” Annmarie Acosta at the keyboard at RAA’s “Irish Show.” Music was in the air as more than 80 people enjoyed an afternoon of live Irish music, dance, poetry, humor and more at the Rockaway Artists Alliance’s “Irish Show.”

The RAA hosted the family friendly event on Saturday, March 8th at their T-7 gallery at Fort Tilden. Guests also enjoyed home cooked corned beef, cabbage, Irish soda bread, cupcakes and drinks.

Performers Susan Bach, Sheila Cassidy, Annmarie Acosta and students from the Acosta School of Irish Music And Dance, Neil McNelis, Gene Philcox, Dan Guarino, Yarrow Regan and the RAA Writers Group Ad Hoc Players, Sandra Proto, George Pizzo, Mike Kusen, “Joe”, and Maureen McNelis entertained the lively crowd which ranged from age 2 to 92.
