St. Edmund’s Prep Randy Neiswenter of Belle Harbor accepts the GCHSAA Division 2 Junior Varsity Coach of the Year. St. Edmund’s Prep Randy Neiswenter of Belle Harbor accepts the GCHSAA Division 2 Junior Varsity Coach of the Year. St. Edmund’s Prep coach, Randy Neiswenter, was awarded the GCHSAA (Brooklyn/Queens Girl’s Catholic High School Athletic Association) Division 2 Junior Varsity Coach of the Year at a special ceremony on March 3rd, at

St. Francis Prep.

The award culminated a successful first year for him as a JV coach for St. Edmund’s. Neiswenter was able to lead his St. Edmund’s team to the semifinals, where they played hard in a fantastic game, but unfortunately lost at the buzzer.

Neiswenter, a resident of Belle Harbor, is also the Assistant Director of St Francis de Sales Basketball. He has also served as the 5th grade girls coach at St. Francis for the last 14 years.

Neiswenter has won several CYO Championships while coaching the 5th grade girls, including a Brooklyn/Queens/ Nassau/Suffolk Counties Championship title.

During the 2013/2014 basketball season,

Neiswenter moved from being Assistant

Coach on the Girl’s Junior Varsity team for St. Edmund’s Prep to the Head Coach.

The St. Edmund’s team record for the season was 14 - 6.
