Rev.William Clark, Jr.
Rev. William Clark, Jr., a pastor, died on February 12th at age 49.
A Rockaway resident for more than 15 years, Rev. Clark was a pastor at The Church of The Abiding Presence in the Bronx. He also served on the Synod Council, Synod Worship Committee and The Executive Committee of the Metropolitan New York Synod and a member of The Metropolitan New York Synod Black Pastor’s Group, where he served as Chaplin.
Rev. Clark is preceded in death by his parents, William and Carolyn Clark and his sister Karen Drakeford. He is survived by his wife, Tanya Clark; son, William David Clark; brothers, Jerome (Sharon) Clark, Tyrone Clark, Lawrence (Diane); nieces and nephews, Andre; Brandon; Jeremiah, Aaron, Tyesha, Tyrone, Jr., Kymony, Korshae, Lasheda, Lawrence, Jr., Joshua, Kristian, Cleveland, Drakeford, Jr. and Charles III; uuncle, Garfield (Doris) Jackson, Sr.; aunts, Alberta (Walter) Knight; Patricia Knight, Elizabeth Bivens, Ruth Williams, Martha Urquhart, Louella Spencer, Juanita (Carl) Miller, Alvonia Clark; in-laws, Cleveland Drakerford, Sr., Charles Cecilia) Watson, Sr., Charles (Audrey) Watson, Jr., Chandra (Timothy) Ortiz and a host of cousins and friends.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Jeremiah C. Gaffney’s Funeral Home in Inwood.
