RAA Celebrates An Irish Afternoon

Celebrating St. Patrick’s, the Rockaway Artists Alliance is hosting a lively and fun afternoon filled with live Irish music, humor, stories, poetry and more.

The free, family friendly “RAA Irish Show” will feature more than a dozen musicians, singers and spoken word artists at the T-7 Gallery at Fort Tilden on Saturday, March 8th, from 1 to 3 p.m.

RAA will also pay special tribute to the late Seamus Heaney, Ireland’s celebrated poet, playwright, translator and lecturer, and the Nobel Prize in Literature winner.

Scheduled to perform are Susan Bach, Ann Marie Acosta and students, Sheila Cassidy, John Simonelli, Neil McNelis, Gene Philcox, Dan Guarino, Yarrow Regan, Sandra Proto, George Pizzo, Mike Kusen, Maureen McNelis and more plus surprise guests.

Refreshments will also be served. Free parking is available.
