Purim At Temple Beth-El
On Saturday evening, March 15th, all are welcome to join Rabbi Allan Blaine and Cantor Jeffrey Wolk to celebrate the holiday of Purim at Temple Beth-El of Rockaway Park. The Temple is located at 201 Beach 121st Street in Rockaway Park.
Starting at 7:30 p.m. there will be the Megillah reading by Dr. Howard Bleier which will be followed by music by Cantor Wolk.
The holiday of Purim is especially fun for the children, and the adults as well, as they are all invited to come to the synagogue celebration in costume.
There will be music, games, gifts, food and especially the Purim holiday favorite, hamantashen.
For those unfamiliar with this tasty, special pastry and why it is called hamantashen, part of the Temple Beth-El celebrations will include telling the whole story.
The Temple is inviting all in the community to join Rabbi Blaine, Cantor Wolk and enjoy the evening.
On Purim morning, Sunday March 16th there will be services and a Megillah reading beginning at 8:30 a.m. followed by a breakfast in the Temple Social Hall.
Both adults and children are invited.
