Artist Tom Kerr draws on his experience for a special presentation at the Rockaway Artists Alliance. Artist, graphic novelist, political cartoonist, St. John’s professor and Wave editorial illustrator Tom Kerr will be giving a very special presentation on “Drawing as Process: From Sketchbook to Printed Page & the Digital Surface.”

The illustrated evening will be hosted by the Rockaway Artists Alliance at their sTudio 7 Gallery at Fort Tilden on Monday, March 10th, at 7:30 p.m.

Kerr focuses on what role drawing plays in his work, and adapting it through digital media.

“I hope to cover a bit of drawing theory,” Kerr said, plus “some of my editorial illustration, sketchpad work and some of the preliminary work done on a graphic novel I’m authoring.”

Admission and parking are free for the RAA general meeting Kerr will be presenting at.

All are welcome.

Artists are also invited to bring their own visual art, music or short literary work to share. For more information on this or other RAA programs, call 718-474-0861.
