The snow may not melt for weeks but the promenade on Seagirt Boulevard and Beach 17th Street was open for visitors just one day after another in a long line of snowstorms this winter. On Sunday, February 16th, folks took slow walks, took in the view and probably were wondering when temperatures would begin to rise. The beach took on the look of a winter wonderland with the sand and dunes covered in winter white and even evergreens standing tall in the snow. The skateboard park on Seagirt Boulevard, which is usually host to skateboarders throughout the year, sat snow covered and dormant. Which leaves the question in this Olympic season – snowboarding, anyone?
