The night’s free event, which organizers are describing as an “evening of music, song, celebration and fun,” takes off at 7 p.m. and runs till midnight. It will also feature an acoustic open mic and jam.

Wine and cheese will be served, and donations will be gladly accepted. Proceeds will go to YANA.

YANA, which stands for “You Are Never Alone,” offers a variety of vocational training services primarily for youth and those in need in Rockaway.

The YANA Center, located at 112-34 Rockaway Beach Boulevard, had opened just two weeks before Hurricane Sandy.

After the storm it became one of the first recovery hubs to reopen and played a vital role in relief efforts on the peninsula.

Jammin’ Jon, a staple on the Rockaway music scene, and the musicians who will be joining him, are inviting everyone to come down, show their support for this dedicated organization and have a great time.
