Addabbo Holds Town Hall On Common Core
New York State Senator Joseph Addabbo will be holding a town hall meeting on the new Common Core curriculum learning standards.
“Changes need to be made,” the senator has said, “and I want to hear what my constituents think New York should do to reform the standards and change how they are being rolled out in schools across the state.”
Specifically he would like to hear input from area students, educators and parents and get their feedback on the measures and how best to improve them.
All are invited to the meeting, which will be held on Thursday, February 20th, at PS 317, at 190 Beach 110th Street from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Senator Addabbo expects this to be the first of a series of “Common Core” meetings throughout his district.
