NRNYC Provides Sandy Repairs

Not eligible for NYC Build it Back repairs? There are other options available for single-family homeowners impacted by Hurricane Sandy.

The Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City and the Mayor’s Office of Housing Recovery Operations have a program for those who aren’t eligible for Build it Back due to federal rules and restrictions. The program assists lower-income residents with a range of structural and nonstructural repairs for homes damaged by Sandy through $14 million in privately raised funds from the Mayor’s Fund, the Robin Hood Foundation, the American Red Cross and JP Morgan Chase.

The program is administered by Neighborhood Revitalization NYC (NRNYC), an affiliate of the Local Initiatives Support Corporation, a community development not-forprofit corporation with 30 years of experience working in New York City. NRNYC directed a successful $15 million Mold Treatment Program which helped close to 2,000 homes.

For more information about the program, visit nyc.gov/fund or call NRNYC at 212-455-9309.
