Free Child Care Business Training Available

Looking to start or expand a home-based child care business?

A free program presented by the Business Outreach Center (BOC), is providing child care training courses.

The “Child Care Means Business” program, now in its 11th year, is being offered to the Far Rockaway community.

The program is made possible through funding from Councilman Donovan Richards.

The 13-week program now features “Early Childhood Development.”

The total 60 hours of training also includes success planning, marketing, finance, operations and nutrition. Those who complete the child care training program will receive certificates in business management, nutrition, and early childhood development.

Registration is open and continues through Thursday, January 16th. Space is limited, so register soon. The program starts on Thursday, January 23rd and will meet on Monday and Thursday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The training classes will be held at P.S. 105 located at 420 Beach 51st Street.
