Wendy Williams Brings Cheer To Redfern PAL
The talk-show host and personality, who arrived with a squad of elves and a truckload of gifts, gave out toys and well wishes to kids from the Redfern development.
She was greeted by more than 75 smiling children in Santa hats with their names on them.
Williams happily gave out presents and also sat down with the kids to do arts and crafts, creating popsicle stick Christmas trees.
The excited children were thrilled when Williams unveiled the recreational equipment she was donating to the center for the community’s use. They happily tried out the bicycles, air hockey, table tennis and table soccer game she brought.
The children in turn surprised Williams with a chorus of “Jingle Bells.”
It features an informative interview with the center’s director Denese Mars, who talks about the effect of Hurricane Sandy on the community and the work they are doing now.
Williams noted her 83-year old father attended PAL as a child and credits the program with helping make him the man grew up to be.
