Another Build It Back Slap

Dear Editor:

There was one very disturbing point that was told to those who attended the Build it Back presenta- tion on Monday, December 9th. Actually there were quite a few, but this one really hit home, no pun intended. The fact is that they will only cover work that was contracted for before October 29, 2013. That is something that was never mentioned anywhere and now when things might start to happen, this pops up. What happens if you worked your tail off to get back into your home, but you did not do any work to the exterior yet? Are we now out of luck if we did not hire someone to side it, or repair your brick or stucco. This is totally unacceptable, and the people in charge are going to have to amend this rule. One other glaring observation was how many people there were working for HUD. There was probably more HUD people there then applicants. Pay out the money; do not use it to pad the employment figures. Start paying the people. It is not like 26,000 applicants is a vast amount of people. Do the right thing!
