In holding with tradition, the holiday lights in downtown Far Rockaway were turned on in what can only be described as frigid temperatures.
But hot chocolate and donuts from Dunkin’ Donuts, and chocolate Santas from Madelaine Chocolates helped to make up for it. The December 12th event was sponsored by the Rockaway Development and Revitalization Corporation, National Grid, Dunkin’ Donuts, Madelaine Chocolates and supported by a host of local organizations. Candles were also given out to all who attended.
