Local Shows Skills on the College Courts

Khalil Bratton, of Far Rockaway, is coming home for the holidays after showing off his top-notch shooting skills during the early college basketball season as a player for the SUNY Canton Men’s basketball team, The Roos.

The 6 foot 4 inch college sophomore lives for sports. Bratton dedicates his passion for athletics in and outside of the classroom. He’s a sports management major who is a pitcher for the school’s baseball team in the spring and a guard/forward for the school’s basketball team.

The former Channel View School for Research student is a skilled player on the court as the second leading scorer on the college basketball team. He’s also tied for first in rebounds and assists. In a recent match against the Houghton Highlanders, Bratton led his team with 27 points, showing remarkable accuracy by hitting 10 of his 13 attempts from the floor. After almost a month-long break, the Roos, along with Bratton, will be back on January 4th to take on St. Lawrence University.
