Transportation Comes First
I find it appalling that the people of Forest Hills would be so selfish as to want to turn the old abandoned Rockaway Line into a park, denying the rest of Queens access to dependable public transportation. Don't the people who reside in Forest Hills have Forest Park the biggest most beautiful park in New York City in their backyard?
Forest Hills is also bordered by another one of NYC’s biggest parks, Flushing Meadow-Corona Park. The community of Forest Hills has multiple parks. It boggles one's imagination as to why Forest Hills residents would want to deny the people of the Rockaway peninsula and southern Queens basic transportation. One can only conclude that the selfish people and politicians of Forest Hills are nothing more than "one way" arrogant so-and-so’s. I applaud Assemblyman Phil Goldfeder and his efforts to open up the rest of the borough of Queens with the old Rockaway line.
Let's help Assemblyman Goldfeder fight for Rockaway by sending an email to Governor Cuomo and letting him know that we stand behind Assemblyman Goldfeder, and we support him in his efforts to reactivate Rockaway branch line for the rest of Queens to use!
Let's get loud Rockaway! It's the squeaky wheel that gets the grease!
