Fifty baskets of Thanksgiving food were donated by hospital departments, churches and community organizations and volunteers and given to families in need from the Rockaways. Departments throughout the St. John’s Episcopal Hospital pitched in and contributed 50 Thanksgiving baskets of food and other goodies that were delivered to families in need in the Rockaways.
Turkeys were donated by Morrison Healthcare. Many generous departments and community organizations contributed food. Among those deserving special mention for the beautifully decorated gift baskets themselves were the Employee Health Department, Imaging, Housekeeping, Engineering, Rehabilitation Medicine and Dietary.
This is the second year that the hospital held a successful Thanksgiving food basket drive.
