PS/MS 114 Gives Thanks

Faculty and students of PS/MS 114 held their own “Day of Thanks” before the Thanksgiving holiday by reaching out to those who helped them in the aftermath of Sandy.

Representatives of the schools that hosted the displaced students, the school bus drivers and organizations that provided support such as Cantor- Fitzgerald, Wal-Mart and Project Hope were all invited to the school on November 27th to be recognized.

The guests were greeted by the word “Thanks” that was woven by the students into the playground fence. There was a breakfast prepared in the gym and after breakfast they were invited into the auditorium where they were presented with commemorative plaques and a performance by the glee club and band.

It was a wonderful day for the students, faculty and all those who held out a helping hand in time of need.
