Clowning Around For Kids

Billed as a comedy show for kids, performer Becca Bernard entertained an excited group of children and adults on Sunday, November 24th at Fort Tilden.

Presented by the Rollicking Rockaways, and hosted by the Rockaway Artists Alliance in the T- 149 kidsmART building, Bernard’s “Just Bee” show included clowning, costumes, songs, magic tricks, jokes and juggling.

“As a student of traditional acting, I took my first clown class on a whim after deciding to pursue more movement-based training at a school in Italy,” Bernard shared in an article for Show Business Weekly. “By the end of the clown class, however, I was hooked,” she said.

The audience of about 40 children and adults, who participate throughout, very much enjoyed the show. Even parents were clapping and singing along.

Rollicking Rockaways’ Audrey Mattio, who introduced the show, noted that this was the debut performance of Bernard’s one woman show.
