Fast Stepping At Double Dutch Tournament

Stan’s Baby Pepper Steppers Double Dutch Team and Mrs. Brown’s Jumpers celebrate being top performers at the Annual Fast Feet Double Dutch Tournament. Stan’s Baby Pepper Steppers Double Dutch Team was top performers at the Annual Fast Feet Double Dutch Tournament held on Saturday, October 26th at Law and Order Enforcement and Public Safety High School.

Mrs. Brown’s Jumpers from PS 40 Brooklyn Sports and Arts in Schools Foundation (SASF) along with the Sorrentino Recreation Center Jumpers were first, second and third finalists in the Advanced and Unattended Divisions.

Competing teams from the five boroughs and Long Island came to the event, which was held by the New York Double Dutch League.

Coaches and officials for the Steppers and Jumpers were Stan Brown, Linda Brown, Yvette Brown, Cheryl Holt, Jamal Turner, Erica Martin, Katherine Rocha, Laa’Neisha Jones, Paul Bowen, Ruth Payne, Gwen Maristany, Toni Veal, Eugene Fortune, Kim Pass and Janae Connelly. Team organizers also thanked the Rockaway community, the Sorrentino Center staff, the staff of the Sports and Arts in Schools Foundation and PS 40 and the principal and staff of Law Enforcement and Public Safety High School.
